Your CDs are Great! I received them a week ago and listened to them during the week. Then I went out and played 9 holes at a course on which I normally shoot 44-46. But this time I shot a 39! Wow, that was great! By following what you teach I got my FOCUS and got rid of the CHATTER and Distractions. Thank You! Wish I had Own The Zone years ago. Now I will truly enjoy the game much more.

Tips From Members

"Own The Zone™ has been extremely helpful for my golf -- I use it in my pre-shot routine (below -- step #6) to remove clutter and tension before the shot. I use this sequence on the practice tee and on the course. I have practiced 6,7,8,9 enough that I do not think about them once I have relaxed.

Pre-Swing Preparation -- a switching mechanism to focus concentration during play.

  1. Assess the distance, temperature, wind, terrain and lie.
  2. Visualize the shot and select a club.
  3. Identify an aim-point ( about 3" in front the ball) in line with the target.
  4. Adjust grip and grooves for the shot with relaxed hands.
  5. Validate grip, stance, posture, rhythm, balance and timing with a practice swing.
  6. Engage the aim-point; take a deep breath, exhale and relax.
  7. Move quickly into position, aim the clubface and initiate the backswing.
  8. Accelerate through the ball toward the aim-point.
  9. Turn your body naturally and finish the swing with rhythm, balance and timing."

"I saw you on the Golf Channel and bought your CD. I found your program to be very useful, especially because I felt that my mind was getting in the way.

After a few sessions with your CD's, I started to apply your lessons on the range and the course. I found that by picking a target and visualizing the energy flowing from it, I could hit the target dead on more frequently.

I have incorporated your key ideas into my pre-shot routine. My index is trending down to a 9.5 for next month, and I am just breaking the 80 barrier more consistently. My next target is a 69. Just this last weekend I had a personal best 76 at my local course, Rancho San Marcos in Santa Barbara."
